John Dillon Park has the perfect blend of adventure and escape for active wheelchair users

Always wanted to see the wilds of the Adirondacks? The John Dillon Park makes the natural landscape of this beautiful countryside available to everyone. It’s especially accessible to people with disabilities and those in wheelchairs.

Extreme X8 powerchair owner, Angie Lupe from Troy NY, USA counts it as her favorite place to visit.

John Dillon Park was designed and constructed as a fully accessible, wheelchair friendly facility located in a wilderness setting.

Wheelchair users give John Dillon Park thumbs up

When we asked Angie Lupe what special activities her Magic Mobility Extreme X8 powerchair enabled her to do that she previously struggled with, she didn’t hesitate.

“I enjoy being outdoors. Being paraplegic and also losing more and more upper body strength, makes that a challenge. With my X8 powerchair I go camping at John Dillon Park (my favourite place) and I can go hiking, fishing and just relaxing with my family. I love nature and wildlife, especially birds since being in the chair.

“My X8 makes it possible for me to get out and about on different terrain. This is very therapeutic for me’’.

This amazing location offers an opportunity to open up your world, and experience the beauty of the Adirondacks.

Check out the scenery and services!
