Read MoreThe process for choosing, trialling and deciding on your next powerchair is one of the most important decisions that you’ll make. We’ve asked Jem, our Rehabilitation Engineer, to talk through the process to ensure that you are prepared and can get the most out of your demonstration.
At Magic Mobility, the demonstration process begins with an initial consultation with a member of our team. This is an opportunity for you and your therapist to tell us about your lifestyle, your current chair’s limitations and advantages, your seating set up and what you want to achieve with your new chair. It’s a chance for you to find out more about our range, and which powerchair would be the best match for you.
We know that power wheelchair users spend most of their waking hours in their chair each day, so it’s important that you tell our team exactly what it is you want in your powerchair, so that this can be taken into consideration when setting up the chair for your demo.
Magic Mobility Rehabilitation Engineer Jem suggests that you prepare for your demo by:
The demonstration usually takes place in your own environment, so you can ensure it meets your needs for daily tasks and any challenges you might have. While the demonstration is usually only for a few hours, you can also request an extended demonstration. This can be helpful if you feel that you need to spend more time trialling the chair or having the set up changed slightly before you make your decision.
Our team will also discuss your suitable accessories and customisations that will help you get where you need to go and do what you want to do.
Following the demonstration, our team will provide you or your therapist with a quote for your powerchair. We will be available to answer any further questions you may have in relation to funding and pricing.
