Read MoreWe were contacted recently by two Extreme X8 users who wrote to share their first experiences of X8 off-road freedom.
Ken starts his beach adventure across a long stretch of rocky terrain.
Ken recently set out in his new X8 to explore the beach opposite his family holiday house on Australia’s east coast, for the first time since he was injured there back in 1982. As he explained: “Last Saturday and Sunday was an adventure for me. My first attempt was via a boat ramp and 100+ meters of rocks to the beach. Unfortunately, no one took images of that track across the rocks, which really shows the off-road capability of the Extreme 4×4.”
You can imagine from the photo of him setting out across the rocks just how extreme that journey must have been.
Fortunately for Ken and his family, he found an easier route to get home at the other end – just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you have to! “We followed the beach around the point and found another track to get off the beach. On the Sunday we used the sandy track through the bush to access the beach.”
Look at that GRIN! The Extreme X8 enabled Ken to re-join his family on their summer beach holidays.
Whether making it over rocks or ploughing through the deep, dry sand, Ken’s X8 enabled him to finally re-join his family on their summer beach holidays. Go, Ken!
Mailen from Norway enjoys here hew found freedom in the snow, thanks to her Extreme X8.
On the other side of the world, Mailen from Norway immediately headed out to try her sleek new Extreme X8 in the deep winter snow. She wrote to us to say:
“Surprisingly good in the snow. It’s a great wheelchair. I’ve heard many other Norwegians that are very happy with it and how well it works. Shout out to Australia from Northern Norway!”
We love when people to tell us what off-road accessibility means for their enjoyment of everyday life. Mailen summed it up perfectly: ”It gives us freedom to go out in the world with comfort and without being afraid of getting stuck because of a bit of snow, mud or sand. It opens new possibilities for me both in the winter and the summer. I’m excited to continue using it as much as possible” Go, Mailen!
