Press Release – the Magic 360

Australian-operated Magic Mobility launches the all new-Magic 360 – its most compact chair with off-road capability on the market to date.

Australian-operated powered wheelchair company, Magic Mobility, who specialises in all-terrain and individualised custom wheelchairs is launching their most anticipated crossover wheelchair – the Magic 360.

Developed after intensive research and listening to their extensive customer base, Magic Mobility is today launching a model designed for urban manoeuvrability that can also go off-road. With a compact body between 610-660mm wide, the Magic 360 is the first chair that’s compact enough to move easily indoors and yet equipped with all the requirements for tackling more adventurous outdoor terrain. Three types of easy change wheels mean that the Magic 360 can traverse more terrain from indoor environments, through to city streets and getting off the beaten track. The team at Magic Mobility have integrated improved all-wheel suspension making it the smoothest ride yet, coupled with a slick new body style to appeal to a broader audience.

“The Magic 360 is the chair our customers have all been waiting for. A chair that looks outstanding and outperforms all others in its class.” said Jill McKechnie, General Manager. “Our current chairs are renowned for their robust nature and their ability to take users further. Over 26 years we have remained close to our customers through our fitting service in Melbourne, and our social media channels that allow us to connect with our dedicated customers worldwide. Customers however were asking us for a powered wheelchair that looked great, performed outdoors and was more compact than the Frontier V6 All Terrain model. The Magic 360 provides more opportunity for our clients to move through every aspect of their day and respond to the wide variety of environments they need to navigate”, Ms McKechnie said.

“Magic Mobility are world leaders in the all-terrain powerchair niche and have now applied this expertise to a chair that moves effortlessly through indoors, urban environments and off-road. It’s more than simply adding a fat wheel to an indoor chair. Magic Mobility is taking the choice of an everyday powerchair to a new level. As the name suggests it’s engineered to give wheelchair users 360 degrees of freedom and we are proud to have created the chair that truly embodies Magic’s all-terrain position”.

Magic Mobility is known throughout the world for its all-terrain technology, developing a dedicated following at home and internationally for powered wheelchairs such as the 4×4 Extreme X8 and Frontier V6 All Terrain mid-wheel drive.

For 26 years Magic Mobility has been developing powered wheelchairs that respond to all environments wheelchair users need to go. The Magic 360 is its most versatile chair within that range as it gives flexibility of movement from indoors and off-road and everything in between.

The launch of the Magic 360 comes soon after the company’s acquisition by Sunrise Medical in 2018. Sunrise Medical is a world leader in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, scooters, seating and positioning products.
