What’s new? Drop down joystick

Magic Mobility’s engineers are always looking for ways to improve user experience in powered wheelchairs.

We’ve created a new drop down joystick to enable wheelchair users to get closer to tables, desks, and even the car steering wheel.

This option allows users to vary the height of their joystick, so that they can get up close to the action. It can be fitted to either arm of the powerchair, depending on the user’s preference.

When in use, the drop down function enables the joystick to tuck under the armrest, giving users additional clearance.

The drop down joystick enables users to manoeuvre closer to desks, tables and more.

This is particularly helpful when driving, as there’s less risk of unintentionally bumping the controller while the car is in motion. When dropped down, the joystick is safely stored out of the way while still accessible.

The drop down joystick can be retrofitted to Magic Mobility powerchairs, however it cannot be fitted in conjunction with the swing back joystick.
