Since he began his career in the assistive technology industry, Ash has developed strong relationships with the disabled community.

Ash is passionate about wheelchair users’ needs, and their goals. He believes that the right powerchair should take you beyond where you need to go, and get you where you want to go.

At Magic Mobility, Ash coupled his understanding of the human body and mechanical nous to create customised solutions for wheelchair users. These solutions include powered storage boxes, camera holders, a self-levelling wineglass holder and even a wholly customised powerchair in 2014.

“We should all be able to live the life we choose,” Ash said. “Whether the goal is big or small, we’re committed to helping our clients experience a world that’s not flat.”

“Our clients refer to their powerchairs as extensions of themselves, so we’re making them as customisable as possible from the colour of the body, to their controls, seats, backrests and more.”

The Magic Mobility team works with clients individually to tailor a concept to their needs.

“We work out what they’re trying to achieve, and then we create a concept that will help them,” Ash said. “We work with wheelchair users to refine these concepts and ensure it will work for them.”

Ash says he’s driven by the unmet needs of wheelchair users, and enjoys pushing the boundaries of what powerchairs can achieve.
