Exploring New Zealand’s beauty with Nate

When Nate received his Frontier V6 All Terrain (AT) in November 2017, the first thing he did was go on a trip to explore Wanaka, on the South Island of New Zealand.

“My Frontier V6 AT reconnected me to experiences I took for granted before my accident” Nate said. “My new powerchair enabled me to access the whole lakeside track and truly share the experience with my girlfriend. It made me feel like we were equal.”

Nate says that his powerchair’s off road capabilities enabled him to keep up with his girlfriend, who rode her bike.

“Being able to access the all terrain track was really encouraging and empowering.”

In his Frontier V6 AT, Nate was able to get right down to the water’s edge, which he hadn’t been able to do in 11 months.

“When I first saw the Frontier V6 AT it felt like I was receiving a fancy new four-wheel drive car,” Nate said. “I was super stoked and couldn’t wait to jump on and see how it would enable me to access the places I wanted to go.”

Living in New Zealand, Nate was able to experience many beautiful outdoor places, but when an accident left him wheelchair-bound, he really missed being able to get out and explore.

“My Frontier V6 AT allows me to access the beach, bush, and get out in nature,” Nate said. “The 14 inch knobby tires give me a smoother ride, which is much appreciated.

“The ability to mount kerbs is a really important feature for me. It makes public spaces much more accessible, and I use it every time I go out.”

Powerchairs like the Magic Mobility Frontier Urban C73 can be resourced under Medicare Group 3 funding codes. The best thing about this is that the Urban C73 can then be upgraded with out of pocket costs, to the V6 AT model, like Nate’s to suit a more active lifestyle and enable you to get out and explore God’s creation.

The Urban C73 uses the same robust frame as Nate’s Frontier V6 AT. If you apply for funding under Medicare, you can simply upgrade your electronic joystick and add 14inch knobby ties for off road capabilities.
