Magic Mobility acquired by Sunrise Medical

Magic Mobility is pleased to announce its acquisition by Sunrise Medical.

Sunrise Medical is a world leader in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of manual wheelchairs, electric powered wheelchairs, scooters, seating and positioning products and has acquired Magic Mobility, a leading Australian based designer and manufacturer of highly innovative and life enabling all-terrain electric wheelchairs manufactured & distributed from its facility in Melbourne.

The acquisition of Magic Mobility will provide more opportunities for wheelchair users world-wide to access these products and for them to consider Magic Mobility as a solid choice for their mobility needs.  As the world is not flat, Magic Mobility makes tough electric powered wheelchairs that will meet a broad range of needs and expand possibilities, giving end users maximum independence and empowering them to get outdoors and explore the world. The companies will combine strengths and will be committed to Sunrise Medical’s operational vision of integrated planning, strong execution and the implementation of technology to achieve broader connection to end users, driving innovation & ultimately delivering life changing outcomes for wheelchairs users and their families.

Design, manufacture, repairs and after-sales service will continue to operate from Magic Mobility’s factory in Melbourne.
