What’s New? Transfer tilt performance improvements

At Magic Mobility, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and improve our users’ experiences.

Our engineers have made some changes to the joystick programming for Frontier V6 and V4 models with the transfer tilt power function to resolve barriers to using your anterior and posterior tilt.

The improvements to this program include combining the anterior and posterior tilt functions into one joystick setting. Users can now seamlessly transition between their forward and backward tilt positions without having to scroll through their menu.

Further improvements have been made to enable users to safely drive forward when in a transfer tilt position. The red turtle will no longer inhibit users from driving forward, unless the footplate is in contact with the ground. The orange turtle will still limit the driving speed at certain tilt angles.

This makes it easier when users are transferring out of their powerchair, as the chair can now be moved away from the user without having to return to a level position first.

These improvements to programming can be retrofitted to Frontier V6 and V4 models with R-net electronics, however a new actuator and switches also need to be updated.
